Purpose

Third parties

Marketing Services

Browser Settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings38.

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Google Chrome and click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner39.
  2. Go to Settings40.
  3. In the side menu, click Privacy and Security41.
  4. Select the Cookies and other site data option42.
  5. From here, you can choose your preferred settings43:
    • Allow all cookies: To accept all cookies from all websites44.
    • Block third-party cookies: To prevent advertisers and other third-party services from tracking you, while still allowing essential cookies from the site you are visiting.
    • Block all cookies (not recommended): To block all cookies, which could cause some websites to not work properly46.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox and click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner47.
  2. Select Settings48.
  3. In the left menu, click Privacy and Security49.
  4. In the Enhanced Tracking Protection section, you can select protection level 50:
    • Standard: Blocks known trackers in private windows51.
    • Strict: Blocks most trackers and third-party cookies on all windows. Some site features may not work.
    • Custom: Allows you to manually choose which trackers and cookies to block53.
  5. You can manage cookies for specific sites by clicking Manage data...54.

Safari:

  1. Open Safari and, in the top menu bar, click Safari55.
  2. Select Preferences56.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab57.
  4. From here, you can check or uncheck the Block all cookies option.
  5. For more granular management, click Manage website data... to see which sites have saved cookies and delete them individually or all at once.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and click the three horizontal dots in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Settings61.
  3. In the left menu, click Cookies and site permissions.
  4. Click Manage and delete cookies and site data63.
  5. Here you can:
    • Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)64.
    • Block third-party cookies65.
    • View and delete cookies for specific sites66.

Third-party social plugins

The University website may integrate social plugins provided by third parties (for example, social media buttons such as "Like" or "Share"). These plugins may allow the third party to collect information about your browsing activity on our website, even if you do not interact with them. If you are logged into your account with the third party, they may be able to link your visit to your user profile. The University does not control the information collected by these third parties through such plugins. For more details, please consult the privacy policy of each provider and, where applicable, adjust your preferences in our cookie management center.

Consent

As explained, certain cookies and other technologies are necessary for the University Website to function as intended72.
